CEO/ CO-Founder
Mr. Harary was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. At 18 years of age, he came to the United States to study psychology and earn his bachelor's degree. Richard later obtained his master's degree in psychology and business from the University of Central Florida before reaching success and building his empire. His education was important to his success, but his family knowledge and business skills were crucial. "Since I was 10 years old, I was already helping the family factory and seeing how everything worked. I've learned a lot about everything, from production to sale", says Harary. Today, Macrobaby has the largest selection of baby merchandise in the world, with more than 40,000 products and 900 brands. It is also the largest seller of Quinny in the United States.
Harary's lifelong experience and intellectual knowledge have ultimately helped in the success of his business. As an entrepreneur, Richard knows what it takes to sell a product. He is also a business owner that cares for the well-being of his employees, many who have started working with him from the beginning and are still employed to this day. "We are a real family and I think this reflects the kind of service we offer: personalized, professional, and innovative, which is very different from some of the other stores I visited when shopping for my own children."
MacroBaby is part of a holding company, Marco Corporation, which also manages six other brands and over 500 employees. At the end of 2017, the holding company achieved gross sales of $20 million. Among the group's plans in the future is to expand businesses throughout the United States. Richard Harary, CEO of Marco Corporation, has crafted a strong infrastructure with a proactive approach while recognizing opportunity through adversity, and facilitating expansion while capturing market share.
